I love WordPress, and I love diddling with HTML, PHP, and MySQL. As such I’ve come up with a few plugins to try to make life easier for other WordPress folks. I’m far from original, so most of these are derived from others’ work but credit is given where credit is due. Without further ado, here you go.
Please note, if you find any of these plugins useful and feel the need to express your appreciation, I accept donations with a difference. Click the banner below to learn more.
Enhanced View
This plugin replaces the original Posts
and Pages functionality in the WordPress administration interface with new versions that include increased functionality, including:
- Paging through posts with easy-to-use Next and Previous page links as well as links to individual page numbers.
- Easily selectable number of posts per page.
- Browsing by Category, Author, and Date.
- Sorting by selectable columns.
Paged Comment Editing
Provides much-needed paged editing of comments and access to previously invisible “spam” comments to salvage those false-positives.
Image Replacement For Entry Titles
Ever wanted to replace your boring text titles with bandwidth-wasting images? Here’s your chance. A complete reworking of an existing plugin, this one goes all out with a full administration interface and glorious soft shadows.
Spelling Checker plugin for WordPress

The most-popular plugin I’ve written. This essentially is a minor massaging of the excellent Speller Pages spelling checker project to make it into an easy-to-use WordPress plugin.
WordPress Asides, ColdForged Style
Another retooling of an existing plugin but with some extra functionality. This is probably the most flexible plugin for creating customized lists of WordPress posts you can imagine. I use it for every single list you see on this site, from the Asides and my Currently Reading entry on the front page, to the “Five Most Recent” and other “recently…” lists. This thing was great to begin with and I only added some stuff to try to make it better.
