It’s a pretty phone, with some (granted) great ideas, that is let down by a total lack of HSDPA (which won’t be fixed by any software updates) or any other high speed connection options, pretty much period.
EDGE is terrible, my dopod 810 (HTC) does that and it is horribly slow in comparison to HSDPA (which is increasingly common even in cheap phones) .. the iPhone may rock, but the performance over the air, when not in wi-fi mode is going to shock a lot of people out of their iPhone lust.
I’m over the whole thing myself - yes, it’s a very cool concept, but it’s let down by (at best) EDGE connectivity.
