My wife, bless her soul, had a rare moment of weakness. After describing to her the glories of the aforementioned Elite Beat Agents, she tried it in the nearby, hated EB Games. She uncharacteristically muttered that she wouldn’t necessarily be too upset if one happened to appear in her hands. Thus began a long, arduous process of finding one. That was, oh, December 20th. I finally consummated a purchase off of eBay for one after a fruitless search.
They don’t exist. Period. They are vaporware. You may think you have seen them, you may even have friends who claim they have them. They lie. I don’t think Nintendo has actually made any yet. I mean, go to any online retailer. Places that should have a hot consumer item. They won’t have them. Go to Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, frigging Walmart, for shit’s sake. Not there. It’s been well and truly frustrating. So I went with the devil and did the eBay. What else are you gonna do?
