Wik and the Fable of Souls available on Xbox Live Arcade

Continuing the trend of valuable content additions on the Xbox Live Arcade, Microsoft recently added Wik and the Fable of Souls to the available titles, a novel platformer based on a very Gollum-looking main character swinging through levels using his tongue. Those of you PC bound can try a demo of the game on your PC.

I downloaded the demo late last night after we got back from the Hurricanes game — as an aside, for those of you watching the game on TV last night, Julia was on TV! Full-frame before a commercial break for about 5 or 6 seconds — and played through a part of the tutorial before hitting the sack. This is definitely an intriguing title worthy of more time for experimentation. The jumping and swinging mechanic utilizing the analog stick is powerful and rather intuitive and I really can’t wait to give it a more thorough whirl.

Those of you with 360s are strongly encouraged to grab the free demo. The full game is 800 Marketplace points, or $10 for the mathematically challenged.
