For you flight simulator freaks, Falcon 4.0: Allied Force comes out tomorrow. Essentially a vastly improved version of the original with a new theater of operations, this one should be interesting. Here’s the first part of a review. If you’re in the mood to have a headache, take a gander at the keyboard layout… when each key on the keyboard has up to six different functions depending on modifier keys, you know you’re going to have your work cut out for you. It doesn’t help that the manual is roughly 750 pages long. This isn’t so much a game as a lifestyle for those that really get into it.
I spent some time with the original Falcon title on the Macintosh waaaayyy back in the day. I think I actually still have the manual sitting around at the house. This one is tempting to me, though I know the way my brain works. I tend to get almost insanely excited about things for a two day period before other, more ordinary, things start reasserting their supremacy. I’d probably get to the point of actually being able to land the damned plane and then realize that I just spent 2 hours lining up my approach. About the time I make that discovery I typically determine that it’s not worth the time investment.
But I’m still a sucker, so mayhaps I’ll see you in the skies anyway.

Great keyboard layout. can you show it so it will print on pages and I can lay out the pages to get the whole thing
