My friends are sources of great humor. Javahead hadn’t seen the new satellite imagery at Google Maps yet. I informed him of it via ICQ. His response:
[15:24] Javahead: you can always tell when someone google’s your address by the GIANT FLOATING BUBBLE above your house.

Could this be the first coffee house with a drive through?

You’ll note, of course, that poor Java Jive appears to be located right smack dab in the middle of a relatively busy, 4-lane road. Location, location, location! Though that’s rather more accessible than the one I frequent that seems to be afflicted with a mild access problem (they’re actually located right in the middle of this, though you’ll need to zoom in).
It’s not, but considering the time (and money!) I spend there, it very well could be mistaken for my permanent residence.
That’s the address of my favorite coffee house, so I’m sure they don’t mind the additional advertisement :).
Hopefully that’s not his real address. I know how you are about your personal privacy and I hope he maintains that same feeling.
That’s very cool too. I used Google maps to reference a link in a PDF I designed at work yesterday as a pointer to the address of the event location. I thought it was cool that you get such a nice (design wise) view of the location you point to with links of what’s around the area.
But yes, this is getting a little scary as far as being obtrusive, but I’m certain there are worse threats out there.
His comment reminds me of the new Arby’s commercials. Funny though.
That’s what I hate about these new technologies. Sometimes they become too obtrusive.
