For those that don’t keep up with them, there’s a new Firefox release out today. Acually, the first official release. Hip hip, hooray and all that.
That of course means a broken site again. Oh, it was worse than this before. Now it’s just my “Currently Reading” image handling that’s diddled due to the hideous interactions of float and clear, but when Javahead first told me about it my sidebar was actually all the way below the main text. It’s tough enough trying to maintain browser compatibility between whole separate products (ie. Internet Explorer and Mozilla), it’s quite another when different versions blow shit up that was working just fine the day before. I’m no CSS expert, so it’ll take me a couple of nights to find and fix it, I’m sure. Time I’d rather spend doing something else, truth be told.
Ain’t progress great?
UPDATE: Finally got the damned thing fixed. I now know more and understand less about float, clears, and containing blocks than I ever wanted.

Your site’s all bitched-up on IE6 right now. Well, not here on the single-entry page. But the main page has the “last five entries” list overlapping the main blog text, and then the page cut off in the middle on the bottom.
Maybe I got a bad load, I’ll check again when i send this.
Teach you to use IE6, won’t it
.
Yeah, that’s pretty hideous. Pardon me while I sigh extravagantly.
for whatever reason I’ve thus far insisted against all logic on continuing to use IE on my work computer. Haven’t used IE at home for a year or more, I think. I’ve actually turned other people I work with on to Firefox to solve issues with IE on their work machines (such issues as IE sucking, hardcore.) But I’m still using IE.
Hit me again, uncle Bill.
