Only 9 hours left

This is the point at which I begin to gibber. Hear that? That’s gibbering. Concerted gibbering.

I’m still trying to work out precisely how this works to my advantage, by the way. I know there’s very little actual logic involved in me going to a retail outlet at midnight to pick up a game. I mean, what then? I’m a grown up, arguably, and I have to go to work at the same time tomorrow that I did today. I don’t have the luxury of pulling a college-level all-nighter because I will die on the morrow. I probably won’t even get to see the damned intro screen until sometime after 9PM tomorrow evening.

But, I guess it doesn’t preclude me from rubbing the box and perhaps smelling it every now and again.

Oh, come on… you know you want to get in just one game tonight, right? I mean, we all can be a little zombified at work tomorrow, can’t we? Shouldn’t it be a national holiday or something anyway? Even the official Xbox Live site has a reminder posted telling people to remember to take tomorrow off from work…

I’d love to see you online tonight, but I am hampered by the unsurmountable logistical challenge known as the “Central time zone” and will, therefore, be getting my game approximately 1 hour later than you will. -sniff-

So, unless you give in to temptation like I’m hoping you will, we probably won’t be able to hook up until tomorrow evening. Either way, I’ll see you on the battlefield.

:D I know I probably won’t be able to resist at least throwing it in to see the first part of the game. I certainly won’t say “definitely not” at this point. That little red guy on my left shoulder is awfully persuasive.

Oh my dear Lord! I know many a place that accepts trade-ins on PS2s ;) .

I’ve been entering the Mountain Dew Halo 2 contest pretty regularly. If I win an Xbox, we’ll talk.

Can’t get rid of the PS2. Maybe I’ll go rob a toy store.

    Enjoy yourself.

That’s a long time to wait, man… and we’ll be practicing during that entire time. I think you should buy it. Do it for your country, man!
