Headbangers Update

Because I love you people so dearly, I’ve compiled samples of the ones I mentioned. So, prepare for the pain!

And you can download the tune that i mentioned by Quid Pro Quo here.

And because Metallica feasts on the scrotums of those who dare so much as glance at their precious intellectual property, I shall not tempt fate and risk my own coin purse. Either that or I don’t have the CD with me :) . You decide!

How’s the rest of that Nickleback CD?

Couldn’t tell you, to be honest… I stuck that one song in my playlist and haven’t ventured forth from there :D . It takes some doing to get a general approval from me, and Nickelback ain’t got there yet.

Oh, and I still have the first Bullet Boys album.

See, now you both have me curious. Thanks a ton.

I went to a Warrant concert. Do I win the loser award? ;) Although the real reason I went was for the opening band Zaza (local Cleveland band). That and the concert only cost me $1 (it was before Warrant became semi-successful for their brief period). Oh, and I still have the first Bullet Boys album. :)

All are good songs above. How’s the rest of that Nickleback CD? I have Silver Side Up, and it was just not a good enough offering to convince me to buy the newer CD when it came out.

Although I wouldn’t qualify Bullet Boys as excellent music, I also don’t judge much based on what’s available on iTunes, as there are plenty of good rock/metal bands that are not on iTunes. Just for one example off the top of my head, try to find any Fates Warning on there (yea, they aren’t exactly mainstream, but they have put out some excellent albums).

I actually didn’t think anything of Ratt or the Bullet Boys, and I only liked Poison by proxy (a friend used to listen to one of their records all the time, and I didn’t mind it…) That was back in the day. NOW I seem to dig all that stuff.

Make of THAT what you will.

Further: the Poison CD from when CeeCee wasn’t there, “Native Tongue,” really kind of kicks ass.

Gah, as though I have room to talk. Cy, I went to a Ratt concert. I would have gone to a Poison concert if I wasn’t sick at the time. I have no room to impugn anyone’s musical selections.

This should tell you something though… neither iTunes nor Rhapsody has even the merest mention of the Bullet Boys. Make of that what you will ;) .

Wow, that’s better than the crap metal I used to listen to in high school. Do you remember the Bullet Boys? (Or perhaps it’s best if people deny their existence all together…)
