I’m back. How’s it going? Did I miss anything? I’ve been in The Land of the Rising Geek (San Jose, CA) at the “2003 Game Developers Conference”:http://www.gdconf.com for some fun and sun with a good friend of mine.

Now, I may not be a game developer, but I am a developer of some species, and I play games, so why not? Went to quite a few interesting lectures on AI, pathfinding, and the use of shaders (akin to “leprechaun magic” as far as I’m concerned) and took several jaunts through the expo halls. What a wild cacaphony of cool things. Here is my favorite:

They had this guy hooked up to a futuristic racing game and I want one. Period. Wrap it up, ship it to my house, set it up and leave me be. Fun. It’ll jar you too, I tell you. I rocketed off this one jump at a wee bit of an angle, leaning my body, praying to hit the landing. When I hit, the chair smacked me like a stooge. It was a riot.

Anyhow, I’m jetlagging a wee bit today. I simply hate traveling east. Hate it. More later.
